18-30s at St Alkmunds
Whether you're a student, graduate, young professional, job-hunter (list not exhaustive), we want to be a community which follows Jesus authentically, loves God passionately and is empowered by the Holy Spirit to live missionally. There are a wide variety of things going on for 18-30s at St Alks and we're always up for giving new ideas a try. What we do is geared around community, friendship, discipleship, and mission. These are fuelled by prayer, worship and more discipleship. The 18-30s network is overseen by Ben, our Lay Pioneer Pastor. Have a browse below to check out what's going on at the moment.
Tabernacle groups are the heartbeat of our life together. We meet weekly and alternate between reading, studying and praying through scripture and a variety of alternatives including 'Big Questions', socials, prayer events, city-wide worship events and others. There are currently two Tabernacle groups, one meets on Tuesday evenings and the other on Wednesdays.
Every month we come together for prayer, worship and teaching with a prophetic edge specifically focussed on us as a missional community. You don't have to be a part of the Tabernacle network to join us, just have an open mind and a connection to who we are. To find out more, contact Ben here.
We encourage students to be part of the wider Tabernacle network as we believe that integrating as part of the wider body of Christ is important for our growth as disciples of Jesus. However, we do have some specific things going on for you. Currently these include trips to Bounce and getting together for drinks to talk about what missional living as a student looks like (we call these Living Mission Sessions). We also run annual courses for those preparing to go to university.
